Lazio bring winning run to Sassuolo in Serie A
The visitors arrive near the top of the table, while the hosts are looking to end a slide that has pushed them into the bottom half.
Lazio take a three-match winning run into Serie A on the night of Tuesday into Wednesday, facing a Sassuolo side who are without a win since mid-September.
The gap in the table frames the fixture, with Lazio second in Serie A and Sassuolo down in 14th after the same number of games. A home win would ease the pressure on the hosts, while the visitors are looking to keep pace at the top.
Sassuolo have lost both of their latest matches, away at Como and at Frosinone, and their only win in their last five matches came against Juventus. In between, they held AC Milan to a draw at home but then failed to build on that result.
Lazio are unbeaten in their last five matches, and their recent wins include a commanding victory away at Juventus. They followed that by beating Parma at home, which extended the run that has carried them up the table.
NextGOAL's power score (pPS) rates Lazio at 47.9, ahead of Sassuolo on 43.3. The clearest gap on the radar is Passing, where Lazio score 85 against Sassuolo's 66. Lazio have also scored 30% of their goals from the 76th minute in their last 30 matches, compared with 16% for Sassuolo, which points to a stronger finish from the visitors.
Kick-off in Thailand is at 00:30 on Wednesday 28 October.
