Glazer family growing unhappy with Sir Jim Ratcliffe's running of United
The co-owners are said to see a decline across the club since the INEOS takeover, with results the worst in decades.
Reports suggest the Glazer family, the owners of Manchester United, are becoming steadily more dissatisfied with the way Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been managing the club.
According to the reports, the family consider the approach taken by INEOS to have failed completely, believing the 28 per cent shareholder could scarcely have engineered a worse situation. They are also said to feel that standards have dropped systematically in every department since the takeover was completed.
Ratcliffe acquired a minority shareholding that handed his INEOS group control of all football operations, and the deal included further funding to repair the ageing infrastructure at Old Trafford.
Results have offered little support for the new regime, with United now without a win in 8 consecutive matches in all competitions and victorious only once in the league this season. That run represents the club's poorest start to a campaign in nearly 40 years.
The Glazers believe the current picture runs counter to what Ratcliffe presented as his strategy, which has raised serious doubts over whether the partnership can last in the long term. A source close to the owners described the situation as sad and not what they had expected or been promised, while another insider said the family felt they had never run the club in this manner.
