Lisandro Martinez wants Man Utd exit as Atletico Madrid show interest
The defender is said to be eyeing a free move this summer after criticising the club's hierarchy following a Champions League defeat.
Lisandro Martinez wants to leave Manchester United this summer, with Atletico Madrid interested in the defender, according to Sky Sports' Paper Talk.
The Sun reports that the defender is looking to depart on a free transfer, and that the Spanish club are among those keeping tabs on his situation.
The link carries added weight because Martinez directed comments at Manchester United's hierarchy after their Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid, remarks that were discussed by pundits on Soccer Special. The mood around the squad has also been strained, with The Mirror reporting that Man Utd players were booed on the train to London before their match against Chelsea.
Interest from Atletico Madrid is the only club link named in the reports, which say any move would come in the summer. There has been no confirmation from Manchester United or from Martinez.
